The Skatoons were formed early in 2004. The original idea to form a Ska band came from original bass player Bob and current Keys and trumpet player Chris. The group started practicing in Charmers Bar, Playa Blanca. Within 3 months the boys had their first gig in the same venue. The Skatoon train had begun!! A night held at Medieval times entitiled "Lanz´ska´rote night" shortly after, firmly put the boys on the map, with 400 people in attendance. The boys continue to go from strength to strength with a blistering performance at Lanzaid 2005 infront of 5,000 people.

2005 saw the depature of Bob, (we miss ya mate) and bass player No2 John was recruited.  The boys continue to expand their set and are currently in the process of writing original material. The boys had the honour of headlining Lanzaid 2006 along with Johnny Logan & The Revs. The Skatoons played a blinder and closed the show!!

2010 saw The Skatoons get a record deal and a publishing contract with Cherry Red Records. The world cup single was played several times on Sky News, received 8-10 from the Guardian and Virgin gave 80-1 odds on the tune being number 1!!! Then Dizzy Rascal and James Corden came along.
